Anika Noni Rose, Princess Tiana

The Princess and the Frog, the first black Disney Princess which was a change from the original version. Anika Noni Rose, voice of Princess Tiana and a Bloomfield, CT native. She graduated Bloomfield high school in 1990, and has already done numerous Broadway, TV, and film leads. Rose received a Tony Award for "Caroline, or Change", starred with Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson in "Dreamgirls", and the HBO TV series "NO.1 Ladies Detective Agency". She won the role of animated Princess over Hudson, Alicia Keys, and Tyra Banks.
